Lately I’m thinking…

Well the Cat game was obviously a sham, but at least we got to tailgate on a beautiful sunny day next to this little guy.  The game definitely wouldn’t have made the this list of the top 5 Cat-griz games of the last 50 years, although the game we went to in Missoula in 2002 was #1 and features a healthy dose of Maddie McCullough celebrating at the end.  Please note that the audio, video and especially interview locations in this video aren’t fantastic…

Shout out to…

Matty Miller!  Last week there was a Pagliaci pizza eating contest (sponsored by the Seattle Pizza Club) where going into the challenge it was thought eating a whole large pizza would win it.  Turns out Scott, Gee, Kellen, Reed and Miller all finished a large (which is ridiculous), and then Miller won in overtime with 14.75 pieces!  14.75 large pieces of pagliaci pizza!

This is really interesting…

UW doesn’t have a coach.  Or really a coaching staff at all.  And they’re losing recruits.  Coooool.  I’ve been saying for the last 2 months that what Sark did to get UW out of the basement has been awesome.  He helped get a new stadium, recruited well, connecting with the fan base etc.  But when I thought of the things I really liked about Sark, none of it really had to do with coaching on the field.  So I’ve been thinking UW needed a new coach to start competing for conference championships, specifically Pinkel or Mora.   Well fast forward 1 week later and Sark went to usc & Mora has turned the UW job down.  So now we have no coach.  Shoot.

This is really interesting…

We got our Christmas decorations and tree up.  The tree may be it’s last leg as it has 12 strands of lights on it and a couple full strands are out because 1 bulb must be out.  I didn’t even know where to start so we just added more strands to it.  For the record the tree has individually remote controlled color and white lights and I bought it for $60 dollars in 2005 with free super saver shipping from Amazon so it’s had a really good run.  The shipping was so super saver that it arrived the day after Christmas, on December 26th…

The soapbox…

I have a belly button UPDATE!!  It was brought to our attention that we initially left Kellen and Reed off the list of full pizza eaters.  Pardon the pun on ‘full’!  classic.   Anyway, as Kellen puts there were 3 levels.  1.  the people who ate a large pizza and wanted more (Gee, Miller).  2.  The people who ate a large pizza and wanted to kill themsevles (Kellen, Reed, Scott).  3.  The group that couldn’t eat a large ( Blazey, Shoe and Ahern).   Did those guys eat right before they came over or something!?!?  (also my max would probably be 6 so I shouldn’t talk, but instead I’m posting about it in a blog)

Lately I’m thinking…

GOOOO CATSSSS!  Happy CAT-griz week everyone.  Steph and I are headed to Bozeman tonight to enjoy the Zac Brown Band concert, some pizza,  drinks, a little bit of good company and hopefully a Bobcat victory.  FYI the last time I was in Bozeman for Cat-griz was in 2005 and this was the weather.  Hopefully the transportation has at least improved since then.  Bonus shout out to my Rodeo in the background

This is really interesting…

I gave Joe our cable password so that he could stream content online.  Apparently that means he can also control what channel we’re watching at home!?  Last night while we were watching TV he switched it to CSPAN, which I thought was weird so I changed it to espn.  Then he popped up a dialog saying “My TV’s name is DVR”, which I thought was interesting and then dismissed.  A few minutes later he changed it to the Hallmark channel so I just proceeded to watch the movie that was on it.  After he called me while dying laughing I realized I truly am the most oblivious person in the world.

Shout out to…

Dre on her birthday this Saturday.  Seems like just yesterday you were getting kicked out of seahawk games.  Also shout out to everyone who has had a birthday in the last year and a half (which i believe is most of you).

Currently listening to…

Not just me, but soon everyone will be listening to country, 80s hits and top 100 jams by Usher & Rhianna.  You guys make me feel like I’m the only girl in the world

The soapbox…

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!  Go Cats!  Dress warm

(This post is meant to be read with this playing in the background for dramatic effect) They said it was over.  They said I was through.  They said it couldn’t be done.  They said the Internet had taken my voice away.   Then by God let’s take it back!   (btw nobody said any of those things I mentioned earlier).

Shout out to…

All my readers.  You were there in the beginning, and probably a couple of you were there in the end.  Maybe one of you is still here for this.  Let’s Go!!   Also shout out to anyone who lands here from a poorly worded knife search

Lately I’m thinking…

My wife is a vegetarian.  I barely eat vegetables.  Which leads me to my next question:  We have a supreme pizza in the freezer that we are willing to trade for almost any other type of pizza.  Serious inquiries only

Currently watching…

Homeland (what’s going on?), Top Chef, The Voice which is somehow on 4 nights a week, and more recently I’ve been watching teams that I like lose games that they shouldn’t.

The soapbox…

YOLO!!!!!  USA!  USA!  USA!

wow can’t believe it’s already Tuesday.  Wait it’s Saturday 2 weeks later?  Anyway, get this.  Steph inexplicably accepted an invitation to a client dinner a while ago that just so happens to be tonight…during the Kansas game.  I originally told her I just couldn’t go, but that of course didn’t go over very well.  Eventually she compromised, came clean and asked them as ridiculous as it was if we could watch the game at their house.  They said of course, so problem solved, right?  Well here’s the deal, I’ve worn my lucky Kansas shorts and T shirt for every game of the tournament.  The fact they’ve also won those games is obviously no coincidence.  So that means I’m going over to some peoples’ house I’ve never met before, who are having us for dinner, in gym shorts.

This is really interesting…

Oh no big deal or anything, but I just happen to be a GUINESS WORLD RECORD HOLDER right now.  It’s not one of those stupid records that nobody cares about either, it’s for being part of the largest kazoo ensemble of all time.  True story

Currently Watching…

I have an urgent and horrifying news story, and I need all of you to stop what you’re doing and listen!  Anchorman2 is coming!!

Lately I’m thinking…

sometimes when I’m at a pizza restaurant and i go to put cheese on my pizza, i secretly hope the person there before me tried to play the shaker trick and unscrewed the parmesan lid, simply because it would save me a lot of time and effort.  true story

The soapbox…

The good news about the client dinner is Gasparich will be there.  The bad news is two of the other people there are missouri fans.  pfffffff.  I’ll also be taking a change of clothes so i can wear jeans out to the post alley bonanza – birthday parties tonight at both Post and Kells.  WOWZERS

my blog that was last updated on 1-18-2012 – boring.  That’s old news. Time for new news.  Or as i like to call it nneewws.  Anyway, the gadget is now moving to a Tuesday/Thursday update schedule.  That sounds like it will work.  This is now the hottest destination on the Internet…on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is really interesting…

I called stellar pizza to order a pizza the other day and the lady knew my name by voice. no phone number or anything.  This is the kind of stuff you’ve been missing!

This is really interesting…

Seeley plays with a chuck-it (kind of)!  Most people at the dog park or with dogs in general have a chuck it, so that you can throw the tennis ball really far and your dog can go it.  I never once in my life thought i’d ever own one, as seeley doesn’t really “fetch”.  It was hard always hanging out with people that had something I never thought I could.  But Steph got one, and Seeley loves it sometimes.  She doesn’t necessarily bring it back, but she runs after it, which basically means instead of us throwing the ball, going to get it, and then throwing it back the other direction, we can now do that but have to walk like 3 times as far to get it.

This is really interesting…

Steph took a self defense class as part of work credits or something a couple weeks ago.  That meant each night she got home from class, i was supposed to try and “attack” her.  It usually invovled her telling me what to try and do, and i had to use the correct arm and be the correct distance away or it “woudln’t work”.  She also bought an LED keychain, so don’t say you weren’t warned

The soapbox…

Happy March Madness!!!  Couple things:  Baylor’s uniforms are still terrible.  They look like the oregon of the midwest, which isn’t a compliment in basketball.  picking long beach state to win 2 games was stupid.  i feel more confident about kansas in a possible elite 8 & final 4 matchup then i do in the first 2 rounds.  I’m in Portland for the weekend.  I missed all of you.  I love you.

Lately I’m Thinking…

Holy crap, it’s been a while.  Figured since it was the day when everyone was blacking out their web pages for the SOPA protest that it would be a good time for me to get the market back.  Add in the most snow Seattle has seen for years and you have the perfect storm, PARDON THE FRICKIN PUN.

Lately I’m Thinking….

Merry Christmas.  Happy New Year.  Happy 30th birthday Holzer, Sam, and me, (me especially), happy MLK day (Amazon doesn’t celebrate it but I do), welcome back from down under Steph, let’s put another shrimp on the barbie

Currently Watching…

Has anyone seen “stuff girls say” yet?  CRAP of course you have, it’s been a month since I updated.  I was going to be the one to break this story wide open.  Surprised it made it without me.  Anyway…here’s part I and part II in case you want to show it to your aunt who doesn’t have the Internet yet (just found a III but it sucks.  I won’t link it).  On a side note, this guy could have saved himself the dress up and just filmed Steph for 20 minutes.  Maybe less.

Shout out to…

Everyone who made it out to my birthday/new years, and everyone who was part of “7 days of Blade”.  It was exhausting, but I had the time of my life.  Bonus shout out to all the loyal readers, and the 4 people who realized this wasn’t being updated.

The soapbox…

I’ve had more salads in 2012 than I have my whole life combined.  And just when I couldn’t be any more proud of myself, thousands of people have told me “caesar salads aren’t really good for you”.  great. thanks.

Shout out to…

Stephanie Imsande on her birthday today!  Instead of traditional presents, I bought you a polar bear who loves malamutes!  Totally dominated

Currently Watching…

A funny video of Hasselbeck and Locker in Tennessee.  Next to Hasselbeck, I’m probably locker’s best friend.  (I’m easing my way back into the gadget updates by the way)

This is really interesting…

I was walking down the hall at work today and a piece of my belt buckle just fell to the ground.  So I reached to the ground to pick it up and BAM another piece just broke off.  Basically my belt is now in 3 pieces and doesn’t work, it’s just gently resting on my waist.  Okay ya I get it, I’m fat, great.  Anyway, looks like I’ll have to buy a belt for the first time in 10 years.  It had a good run.

Currently Watching…

Saw Christmas Vacation the other night with the family (Steph, Brett & Seeley).  Frickin hilarious.  The first 2 seconds of this is my new favorite part

Lately I’m Thinking…

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!  I have a lot to be thankful for this year, including my 4 readers.  Tomorrow might be a good day for everyone to play round-of-compliments.  Mom & Heather, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and I’ll see you both at Christmas

This is really interesting…

The other day I bought a ring tone for my iPhone, which I don’t think hardly anyone does.  Right after I purchased it I just stared at my phone waiting for someone to call, but then quickly realized nobody ever calls me! So I pretty much forgot about it, and then last night after the Kansas game BAM “Yo, it’s about that time, to break forth, the rhythm and the rhyme…it’s such a good vibration, it’s such a sweet sensation” – it was a Face time call from Joe!  I was pretty darn happy on a lot of levels.  Bonus shout out to Joe who will be by himself in Laramie, WY this Thanksgiving studying.  He said he was going to cook one of those “little turkeys” they sell in the store, which I’m pretty sure everyone else just refers to as “chickens”.

Shout out to…

Stephanie, who before the Cat-griz game on Saturday (Cats lost.  shoot) tried to surprise me by setting up the fog machine.  Unfortunately she accidentally put in bubble juice (from my bubble machine) so hopefully the whole thing isn’t broken, but it was a nice gesture anyway.  (fog machine pictures are usually a lot cooler with lots of fog BTW)

Currently Watching…

Speaking of dead turkeys (kind of), here is a funny taxidermy video Britt sent me.  Speaking of Britt, she actually made that “pizza is a vegetable” picture for me last update, so nice work!  Speaking of making pictures, I made the one I used today with a little bit of computer magic.  And it all comes full circle.

The soapbox…

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!  Hope to see you at the Apple Cup on Saturday, preferable in warm and sunny weather.  On a side note, it’s practically raining from the ground up here.

This is really interesting…

FRONT PAGE NEWS – PIZZA IS A VEGETABLE.  USA!  USA!  USA! I just became the healthiest person in America overnight.  My food pyramid is now complete.  I even had vegetables for lunch.  My only real concern now is maybe I eat too many vegetables.  I’m not even sure if that’s a real problem though.  (thanks for the photo Britt, and to Cyndi for breaking the news to me the instant she found out)

This is really interesting…

After adding a new south end to the stadium earlier this year, they decided basically in the middle of winter to add lights to Bobcat Stadium as well.  They really help to show that you can’t see anything, which is nice.  Anyway, I’m pretty bummed I’m not going to be there tomorrow, although the bar will probably be a touch warmer, especially if I’m wearing fur.

This is really interesting…

Seeley duped me with the ol’ bait-and-switch the other night.  She was actually really restless like she needed a walk, so I dragged myself off the couch and the second I passed her she ran over, jumped up into my spot and laid on my pillow.  I thought about going on a walk by myself just to prove a point, but ultimately concluded she wouldn’t give a crap.

Lately I’m thinking…

RArrrrrrrrrrrrr.  Also this commercial makes me laugh.  Especially when the toilet paper explodes.

The soapbox…

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone.  Go Cats & Go Dawgs (I’m going to attempt to watch both back-to-back).

Lately I’m thinking…

Happy CAT-griz week.  Here is what we in the biz like to call a little bit of a “hype” video.

Currently Reading…

This was a really interesting article on Coach K breaking the win record, and on his relationship with Bob Knight, a lot of which I never knew about

Currently Watching…

(lot of links today) Here is a web cam on the Husky Stadium renovation.  Also a quick reminder that after a sunny start to the day it’s not very nice out

This is really interesting…

Here is a little perspective on how big earth is, thanks to our little friend in the junior space program, Jeff Bonar.  (If you can’t see earth at the end, then you probably need a bigger computer screen)

The soapbox…

Here is an IM from Tanner today:  “we were at Cat Chat last night, and there were a couple guys at our table that were at the Portland game. Someone started talking about you and they said one of their friends saw you at the game and said something like “wow, that guy in the kid’s bobcat costume looks like he’s about 30”.  Crazy, I can’t believe I look 30.  That’s weird.  If they thought I looked old 2 months ago, imagine how old I’ll look Saturday!  Speaking of 30…HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKERS.  This year we spell old, J.A.K.E.R.S
